Decaf Coffee and Thomas Jefferson’s Bible

The comic strip Rhymes with Orange has been a good friend to coffee, often using coffee in a variety of ways to illustrate a point. It just goes to show that coffee is good for everything, including, in this case, humor.

This strip is from today’s paper…

I love the strip for several reasons. Number one, it mentions coffee. Number two, it dogs decaf. I’m not a big fan of decaf. It’s just not natural, not normal.

Drinking decaf coffee is like the way Thomas Jefferson reads the Bible, removing all the parts you don’t like, though it ruins the whole.

For those of you who don’t know, Thomas Jefferson cut his Bible apart, removing all the miracles of Jesus Christ. Said he didn’t believe those parts. It doesn’t make sense with the Bible, and it doesn’t make sense with coffee.
