The Brass Verdict by Michael Connelly

I met Michael Connelly a couple of years ago at a writer’s conference. Pretty nice guy. I’ve always enjoyed his Harry Bosch character, but I enjoy the attorney Mickey Haller even better. Just finished reading The Brass Verdict and picked out a good coffee reference for you…

“Bosch arrived early the next morning. He was alone. His peace offering was the extra cup of coffee he carried and handed over to me. I don’t drink coffee anymore- trying to avoid any addiction in my life- but I took it from him anyway, thinking that maybe the smell of caffeine would get me going.”
