I made the rounds at the 34th Annual Hotel-Motel Restaraunt Supply Show of the Southeast here in Myrtle Beach this week. Kevin Dwyer, a sales rep for New England Coffee Company, was at the show.
Super nice guy and very passionate about selling New England Coffee.
He gave me a few minutes of his time to answer a few questions for the blog.
So what are you doing here? NECC just signed a deal with IFH, so I’m here to represent NECC and our realtionship with them.
Any new flavors coming out of NECC this year? Yes. Mocha Mint, Blueberry Cobbler Decaf, and Pecan Pie.
Why should I buy New England Coffee? We offer a consistently quality product. It’s run by a fourth generation family company. They’re heavily involved in the day-to-day operations. It’s not just driven by shareholders and profit.
Any chance the famous NECC vans will come down to the South? Nah, they’re primarily in New England and upstate New York.
How’s business? In 2000 we sold about 450,000 bags. In 2008 we hit 9.5 million.
Can we tour the factory? Absolutely. They have a great tour and an onsite coffee shop.
In one sentence, what would you want us to know about NECC? It’s a quality family roast.
If you get the chance, check out NECC on the web. They also have a pretty active Facebook fan page that comes across my feed pretty often.
