Award for Innovative Yet Distateful Use of Coffee in an Ad

Man, what a long title that was. In the spirit of the Super Bowl, the annual sporting event played between advertisements, I thought I’d post an ad award for coffee.

This one was in yesterday’s paper in the Parade insert.

It’s innovative, yet I found it very distasteful.  Now, I would never be one to say “downsize on the coffee to save money”. Instead, I’d be the first to tell you that small and medium just aren’t enough.

I would, however, not tell you to upsize on the coffee just so you can put more money on the credit card. As if Americans don’t have enough trouble already, keeping credit cards low and savings high.

I find it distasteful to use coffee as a medium for increased credit card use. They shoulda used the value meal vs a burger and fries or a bigger tv with higher resolution. But not coffee. Don’t use coffee to enforce bad habits!
