Katering in Myrtle Beach SC

I’m almost always all about the coffee and the coffee lifestyle. Every now and then though I delve into more gastronomic avenues and pursue the rest of the things that we stuff down our gullets. In a way, though, isn’t the food also about the coffee lifestyle? After all, it’s what I do between drinking my brew of the bean.

A friend of mine just started a catering company here in Myrtle Beach SC, my current base of operations. I’ve sampled the food, and it is marvelous. She made a chocolate bread pudding with ground cocoa that was amazing. I went back for seconds.

Not only is the food great, but she is inspiring. For any of you that  have been with me for a while on the blog, you know that I preach Free Agency as the primary means for achieveing one’s dreams and exercising life’s passions.

Kate Miles, the owner of Katering, is a perfect example of that. I’ve gotten to know her through the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce where she worked full time at a j-o-b. Now she’s stepping out and doing something that makes her happy (and us too judging by the food).

If you’re in the Myrtle Beach area and need a caterer for a meeting, get-together, or party, give her a call. Her biz card advertises event catering, private parties, corporate meetings, afternoon teas, and cooking classes.

The only thing that’s missing…COFFEE. Be sure to tell Kate that you’d like to see her join up with the Coffee Scholar for a coffee tasting. Imagine that, some fresh-roasted beans along with a scrumptious dessert.

Here’s Kate’s info…843-655-3399 or kateringmb@gmail.com. She’s also on Facebook with a very faithful following already.

    Dr. Powers,

I have lived in Myrtle Beach for 18 months and have had the pleasure of reading your column. My son had gotten married in October and I was looking for a caterer for the “non” rehearsal luncheon. Your column included “Katering in Myrtle Beach’. I hired Kate Miles for the luncheon. I wanted southern fare & she delivered. The only complaint I received was from my brother. He said he didn”t like the chicken but still managed to eat 6 pieces. She also made Chocolate Bread Pudding, which I never saw but heard it was absolutely fabulous! I wouldn’t hesitate to follow another one of your tips. I would also sing Kate Miles”s praises!
