Tom Brady is a Pussy

I’m not the biggest football fan in the world. As a matter of fact, I only watch the Super Bowl. I have been following some of the Deflategate news though, because I actually found it pretty interesting. Most of all, I was amazed by the comments by Tom Brady, or at least his attorneys. All I can think of every time he opens his mouth is…

Tom Brady-deflategateOn the field he’s protected by guys twice or triple his size. Off the field, he protected by as many attorneys he wants. Based on what I’ve read and what the NFL seems to believe, he’s now lying about cheating to win. If you think about it, Tom Brady is just pulling another Lance Armstrong.

I think it’s about time he comes clean about what really happened instead of hiding behind everyone. I mean, isn’t that a basic lesson we teach our kids? If you’re familiar with the Oz Principle, you know that it’s all about accountability and taking responsibility for your actions.

SAD-TOM-BRADY

Well, here’s the Brady Principle, which is what I’ll start calling it when people play the blame game:

  • Do something wrong.
  • Get caught.
  • Whine.
  • Get in trouble.
  • Whine.
  • Get suspended.
  • Appeal. Oh yeah, and whine too.
  • Go home and whine some more.

Here’s the Oz Principle applied to this situation:

  • Do something wrong.
  • Get caught.
  • Admit the wrong.
  • Take your punishment like a man.
  • Come back to the game after the suspension is over and play harder than ever to restore the trust of the fans.

Brady could learn a lesson or two from the Wizard of Oz. I think it’s time for him to travel to the Emerald City and see if the Wizard will help him grow a pair.

If you’re playing the blame game in your own life or business, it’s time for you to make a change as well. Tom Brady is playing football below the line. I don’t want you to do that in your life.
